I've had the same issue for years. I just ignored it until now. Based on the diagram, how would you fix this problem? Are you just wiring in a relay? Who else has done this successfully?

It's very easy, I wired in a relay worked perfect. Follow the shbox link.

You can get the relay from any auto parts store. IIRC I used the same realy that is used for the A/C pop off your fuse cover under the hood and you'll see some relays. Get one the same as those.

The Pam OS looking for resistant from two light bulbs on the stock wing. When it does not see the right resistance, it throws a code. The leds in the ss wing don't provide resistance, they appear as an open and that is why you get the light.

You basically have to fool the pcm with a relay or some bulbs.

I'm putting a SS Spoiler on a friends car and it's got the LED Light.
He is taking the ABS out tho so I guess my situation prob doesn't matter..just pull the light bulb out of the gauges.

Yes, it will fit under the hatch. Sorry I don't have any pics though. I used double sided tape to hold the relay to the underside of the hatch. It's very easy to do, Once you get started you'll see what I mean. If you have any troubles let us know.

I believe so yes, even though the abs will be deleted you might have problems with the cruise control. Don't qoute me on this it's been years since I did it. If you do have problems it takes less than 20mins to wire in the relay start to finish.

Is this only an issue on 93-96 cars? I have an SS spoiler with LED's on my Wifes 97 and ABS still works properly.

airfix, did you use some connectors to hold the wires to the relay posts? bascially i'm just wiring in the relay to the negative and positive wires just before the led right?

Then you have nothing to worry about. It's possible there might have been a change in factory circuitry, but the fix is for when there actually are troubles when changing to the LED spoiler.

I used 2 female spade connectors with the plastic covering around the connector part. For the unused posts on the relays I put a bit of shrink tube on them, I don't think you need to but I did just because.
