There are questions like this on the forum all the time. You will get people giving you figures from $1,000 - $15,000. Prices seem to be much higher in northern states than the south. Best thing to do is just go get your quotes from some shops with good reps.

My body shop quoted me a starting price of $4,000 for a color change, then it all depends on how expensive the paint is, how in depth you want to go with the color change, and if your car needs and body repairs. Chances are if you want it done 100% correct, it will cost close to $8.000. Your best bet is to just go to a reputable body shop and get a quote.

does that include door jams? For the whole car, no engine bay and no door jams for our shop is around $3800

Cost me $6K for a show quality repaint in SOM (original paint color), that included 5 coats of clear, color sanding the entire car, buffing it out and sealing the paint. HOC paint is very expensive, you might want to look at some alternative paints. Paint alone cost over $1000 for my car.

If this is my old Cobb County car I had an estimate of $4k to do it correctly. Pulling all the panels off and removing the glass. Now this was a buddy price as the guy went to HS with my father. I would guess $5k for changing the color and no "buddy" discount. Also as stated above will depend if you are going to do it 100% and pull the motor out. The only major thing that needed done on the body was pulling the door dings out of the rear quarter panels.

Yeah I was quoted $1k just for painting my new hood. Thats why I am now saving up a bit and just going to get all the little scratches taken care of with a new paint job.

man those are some high *** prices i guess we should charge more your looking at around $3500 or less from us.i say less because same color job would be around $2k now we wouldnt take the glass out or doors off or paint it in pieces for the reason that you dont have to on a car your going to drive and it just make way more work
