I had gotten one as a present and the back of the emblem was hot glued on. The screws or what ever is on the back of the emblem have to be cut down with a hacksaw. The emblem on mine was flat and flush but I could tell it was cut from the back. It looked really good even though I sold it. You can get a hot glue gun at Home Depot with glue for $3.00 or less. The hot glue will definetly hold if you put enough on.

Oh yea, I forgot to tell you that the emblem has to be bent. The "SS" part has to be flatter to fit on the front. It will probably break in between the S's when you do this so you can just crazy glue it.

Any other input on this? I just got the same setup an the 'prongs' on the back of the ss emblem are too short to fit through the grille. I dont like the thoughts of glueing my emblem on. I can't see it holding too long.

Use a die to thread the studs, then drill and tap some aluminum rod stock to accept the threaded studs. Cut the stock to the length that it needs to be, then drill and tap that end to accept a bolt. Bolt it all with backing plates through the grille.

I think XTROOPER has a write up on this over at the LS1 site, you might check that out.
