I'm with ya'. Mine doesn't come on in either my t-top or convertible. If you shine a flashlight onto the dash cluster, you will see its location. I don't remember exactly, but I think it was mid way left side. Let me know if someone responds. Thanks, Steve.

No light when cruise is on, as far as I've ever seen (in 10 years of ownership). Pretty sure there is no such thing.

Along the same lines, does the rear window defroster have a light or no?

EXACTLY.. I could have sworn i saw it a few times after i got my 01 T/A a6.. (about 4,000 miles ago) then never again. I can't find anything in the owner's manual about an indicator, not in the text about using cruise, not even in the illustration of all the other lights.

No dash light for the rear defroster either. There's a light on the switch itself. These cars are pretty basic by today's standards.

My 2000 TA owners manual has a picture of the instrument cluster showing all of the warning lights. There is not "CRUISE" light shown. Kind of funny, since my '99 Grand Am does have a "CRUISE" light.

Default cruise

yeah there is no pic in the owners manual but i could've sworn it had a indicator by the speedomitor. there is a light for the rear defrost on the switch itself not in the gauge cluster.

I need to look at a cluster schematic to be sure. The indicator may exist on cluster face, but there may be not trace to operate it, and no bulb installed stock. I looked on the engine compt. cruise wiring and no light shown, no surprise though.

This thread is two weeks old, but that is what I searched for. I am just like the rest of you, I would have put money that there was a CRUISE indicator on the dash. I mean seriously, I remember it being a green color and everything. But I guess I am wrong because I searched the entire gauge cluster and do not see a spot for it. Call me crazy. Oh well!
