I like to dup the layer, on the top dup layer erase everything under the car including the wheels and wheel wells. Then with the "move tool" drag the top layer down lowering the car. Sometimes if the car was really tall (like stock height) you need to fill in some shadows under the car. But it's a pretty fast method I use.
