Not sure if this is technically the right section, but I am looking into getting my windows tinted on my 95z and I want them at about 50%. about how much would that cost me? And anyone have any other suggestions that may look good? 30%? more? Less? Give me some feedback on what you think

I would go with 35% all the way around, but that is just my opinion. You might also want to check your local laws if you are worried about that kind of stuff. I'm not so much worried about it like some people. I know here, in Minnesota, legal is 50%, and I have 20% on my gtp and have only been bothered once. Around here it seems like if you don't mess around too much, or draw attention to yourself the police don't give you too much trouble.

i think 35% is usually what comes on most stock vehicles. like my 03 chevy truck has it on the back 2 windows and on the rear window. that might give you an idea of what 35% is if im right on that.

50% don't waste your money if thats the % your going to do. Do at least a 35% trust me, you'll like it so much more. If you have T-tops i would do 20%. but thats just me

For what ever u tint, dont ever put 5% or less in rear window. I put 5% all around when I own other black car, and I cant see **** at night when backing out, and it even worth when it rains, where U cant pull the window down to look at the back while backing it out. 20-25% is what I recomment, it illegal but police not both too much,

I put limo tint on the doors and hatch, which I want to say is like 5%, and one night ran right into a cement anchored light pole while turning towards an exit in a KMart parking lot. That's back when I still had decent vision, and was one of my proudest moments. Just be aware, if you go very dark, you are going to have trouble seeing much of anything at night. If you can avoid running over things, it will look great.

Limo tint looks great, imo, especially with a black hardtop. Just stay away from Kmart parking lots.

although old, im thinking of tinting to help reduce in car temps lol el paso is killing me. 105 degree just today I think. was ridiculous.
alittle confused on the tinting thing. out of all things im not too into consmetic stuff unless its structural related so tint wasn't one of my list of things to do until now. I don't want 5% form what it seems so im guessing that lower numbers are darker while higher numbers are lighter tint, correct?
im thinking about 40% then to kinda stay legal but not to draw any attention. Already got a V8 turbo lol

I had 35% on my old pick up and personally i thought it was a waste of money. You could see right through it. But thats just me. I dont know if you want to stay legal or if you care? And yes lower the number the darker the tint. I would personally do %20 if you dont want 5%. Also if you have t tops. I would tint them as dark as possible thats what i did. It helped a little with the whole sun thing

The getting pulled over part is a complete toss up. Some people have never been pulled over with 5% all around and i got pulled over within 2 weeks of 35% on the sides.
That being said, the 5% in the rear will help with the heat, but it wont turn your car into december. As mentioned before, a lot of heat will go through the windshield. But the more dark tint you have, the more it helps. A bit. Kinda.
If you want to keep cabin temperatures down, a dash pad will make more of a difference than window tint. Plus, it hides the cracks that most fbodies have
I live in the desert in california. It already hit 110* a few weeks ago, so i kept note of what helps with heat. Next up is cloth seats lol.
