I have the SAME problem on my passenger side door on my 99 TA. It's a little clear bulb that shines through a RED plastic lens. I coulden't even figure out how to get it out of the holder without breaking it. Autozone..?! GREAT there's one 12 blocks away from my house. Now how do i get it out..?

Ya know I didn't even know these cars had them until about 3 weeks ago. I swear to god I never noticed they had those little holes. I've got two friends with t/a's too and the only reason we all now know is because one of them came back into town from going to visit family, and the passenger side just randomly started working after it was sitting the whole time.

the little socket twist out but you'probably have to pull the bulb out with pliers. the bulb is very small and it's difficult to grip. if you use pliers be sure not to squeeze it to tight. one litttle pull and it pops right out.

Thanks everyone.. It's fixed..!
That little red light being burnt out annoyed me for months.... It's finally fixed thanks to this thread... I found the bulb at A.Zone for a couple bucks.. The bulb housing DOES twist and pull out. Getting the bulb out of the housing was a little bit of a pain... I carefully used a pair of linemans pliers to get a grip and it pulled straight out.. Thanks again for the info...

1999 Firebird door bezel light
I had a problem getting My Door Bezel light out of My 1999 Firebird Formula...I broke the bulb trying to pull it out ...So I took a sharp pointed center punch and slowly scraped the remainder of the glass out of the light socket ....Went to AutoZone and found the replacement light for 5.00...Actually they were 2 for five and some change ....The bulb was a Sylvania 2721 ..worked and fit perfectly...Couldnt find the bulb at pull a part and the Salvage yard wanted minimum 20 dollars to pull any part......Winning
