Oiling on startup?

Oiling on startup? I just got done doing a stock rebuild on my bottom end. I installed a new 10554 oil pump, ls7 lifters, new cleaned out pushrods. Basically everything is new, my question is how long should it take for oil to make it up to the top end and start oiling the rockers? I have started the motor for about 30 seconds and it has 70 lbs of oil pressure but im still not getting oil out of any of the pushrods. Just wondering how long it has taken other peoples new motors to oil the top? Thanks

Mine did this as well With my last cam swap with new ls7 lifters. I let it run for a few minutes then gave her a little throttle and oil started flowing to the rockers.

I did prime the system and used assembly lube on everything that called for it. Just didn't want to run it for to long without getting some other opinions.

You should be fine then its gonna take a lil while. I got really worried the first time i didnt see oil too. Just give it a lil throttle and you should see oil

I'm running my **** on straight 30wt right now, and it took like 10 minutes of priming with a drill to get oil in the top end. Depending on the oil, and oil temp it could take awhile to get some good oil flow up the pushrods, I wouldn't worry about it as long as everything went in clean and you checked the pushrods for obstructions.

I pulled ignition fuse and cranked engine over for bit. If you use moly lube on bearing surfaces and lubricate everything beforehand with engine lube, you really are good to go. Most like to see the oil before starting, but if your oiling system is in line you will be ok. I pulled my valve covers after a few min to make sure oil was getting covering things properly.
