Default looking at a 1996 z28

I'm looking at a 1996 z28 the one thing that worries me is the rad support was cut for some reason and reattached with a piece of metal. I was told it was for the vert rad mod . SHould i be worried about the rad support being cut?? I am getting a good deal on the car being 100k and 6spd I can get it for 1100 .. is this being cut going to cause problems?

for that price **** yeah get it.

Idk about a mod but it could have been turboed at one point?

As long as its welded back together properly then it should be fine. People run around with cut up core supports all the time.

the only issue is that its not welded back together its got a piece of metal that they bolted it back together with lol.. I wish i could post some pics of the car but its an hr 45 min away and the next time i go up there im gonna bring it home not driving back again to take some pics...It is cut all the way through the top section and is the width of the radiator. I am going to ask the guy to send me some pics of the rad support

In that case you need to check the frame rails and front rebar for damage,
it could have been in a bad wreck
