Default Wtf help.

I have a rebuilt cc503 lt pacesetter. 96 lt1. After getting it dynoed my tuner suggested to run ngk tr55. I had the Bosch quad prong style ones. The best they offer. He suggested that due to my power curves dropping. Well I switched them this morning and gaped them at .035
At first it ran decent but not better than before. Then after me starting it up again once I got home I had a nasty miss. If I power braked it the rpms went up and down. 800-1000 and driving it sounded like ****. I checked every plug wire 3 times now. I'm gonna check for arching in a bit but idk what happened. I guess I'm going to pull them out and make sure there not broken. Any suggestions on what to do before I remove them?

I run the same plugs but gapped at .050 and I have never had a problem. Are you sure all the wires are on the right plug?

Yea of course! It'd be back firing up the *** if they were switched. Whatever it is it starts running really bad and then after 5 min of playing with it, it stops. But i can feel it like coming and going before it actually stops But I can still hear a slight miss.

.035 sounds to tight for the gap.. sparks probably getting shrouded some.

yes
a small gap and a sparkplug at a bad indexed position could cause a slight miss. basicly not getting a good spark in the cylinder..

But it's back and forth. As if a wire was breaking down or something. If it was constant then that'd be understandable. Unless the white material is broken then idk :/

I just drove it and it was running strong! Yet the idle was choppy and it didn't as smooth. This is weird.

try opening the gap up to .050 or .055 and see how it acts..

I ran Bosch +4 plugs for 6-7 years on the orignal plug wires with no issues. I developed a miss and I changed to tr 55's and MSD 8.5s. A year later same miss so I went back to the Bosch + 4 a year ago, I've never had an issue with them.

I ran tr55's for a long time without issues. I gapped mine at 45 though.

ya dont run lat,s in a nitrous motr . the tr55,s are a resistor plug are u sure you didnt accidently close the gap on the plug on install thats a classic case of it .

I run my TR55s at .035" and put down 455whp. Nothing wrong with that size gap with those plugs.

I should also add that this is REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE, NOT INTERNET HEAR-SAY.
