Default Thorley Questions

Just pick me up some brand new thorley's that came yesterday . I was wondering you guys that have them did use re use your stock gaskets or buy new ones? If you bought new ones whare did you get them from?

My car has 29,XXX miles on it and I went ahead and bought new,so I would not have any problems with leaks...I payed $40 for new one @ the dealership...

change the flex pipe if you don't want the whistle noise.

I actually have another question, my brother who owns a f-body saids these headers won't fit with my down pipe from hogan? any truth to that?

You will have to shorten the mid-pipe (downpipe) and weld them together. Or flange them and bolt em together.

Ok after reading all this my plan of action is to install the headers (use new gaskets from summit) remove "y"section, cut out old flex, weld in new flex, replace 3" of pipe(stainless) to top of flex, where it connects to the crossover and reinstall upgraded "y"pipe. Now does that sound right to anyone? And now I have another question. At what point can i reattach the hogan to the headers? I know the thorey has a downpipe that is suppose to go all the way to cat but i want to keep the hogan as much as possible.

i would just leave the hogan off and sell it.
