Default 19x10 C6 wheels up front, I know they will work but should I?

I've had these wheels for... gee I don't know like 6 months and I'm bored with them already.

I have 19x10s in the rear already with 285/30/19 rubber and I want to move those to the front and do a 335 on the rear with a 19x10 with the proper spacer (currently not running a spacer in the rear).

I just don't know if 19/19 would look okay. I think the 18/19 combo makes the front 18's look like 17s or something small and it bugs the **** out of me. PLUS They are SOOOO narrow.

I know it needs AT LEAST spacers front and rear to make it more flush, but I think I'd rather just spend the money finding a set of 19s for the front.

Also considering doing the 19's and powdercoating them black with a red stripe to set the car off some more.

Thoughts?

I rolled on 19's all around.. the 275's filled in the front perfect these had no spacers.

Just put more meat on the backs, 295/30 at least. Then a 275/35/18 will keep the fronts from looking small.

I like the 19" look but the tires are very expensive....from what I've seen and ordered. Nice car.

I dont think putting a 335 on a 10" wide wheel is a good idea.

I wouldn't do 19's up front, but that's just me. Do 18's all around, or keep 18's up front. And, as noted above, the tire can make a big difference too!

Nice car, nice wheels. Unfortunately those are a totally different offset, which is why they look nice. I like the 19/19 look though.

Eh it's got like a 285 now, that extra 10mm isn't going to make that much of a difference. It already had 325s on the rear in a drag radial and I dug that, just didn't like riding on skinnies every day. It has like 235/245s up front now, I'm more worried about the diamater than the width.

I would much prefer 20s if I could find a set of Z06's.

Eh, it's just money. The rear tires I want are like 519 each, but with how much I drive I'm looking at 1800 in tires every 20 years if I kept them.

Neither is putting a corvette offset wheel on an f-body. Too late!

If I had another set of 18" ZR1s I'd just be happy with that. But I like these wheels just want them bigger in the front. The car has enough go for me, I dig a little show too.

I just think the stretched look makes the tire look shorter.

What does putting a different offset onto a car have to do with a unsafe tire size for a wheel?

Sans spacers my tires rub. Too much of that = pop. Just as unsafe as driving on a stretched tire.

This isn't about what size rear tire I'm putting on it so let's all just forget about that.

It's about having 19's up front.

Here's my thread from 2 years ago when I ran 19x10 C6 rims all the way around. I didn't have them on long...the ride and traction issues were HORRIBLE! I'm on C5 Z06 rims now in 18x9.5 and I'm MUCH happier!

Keep your wheels..They look nice on your car..just try to get a tire with a little more sidewall and a bit more more width on the backs..

I have the same setup, 295/30/19 and 275/35/18 are nearly a perfect match on OD. Neither are stretched looking, and they don't rub. I did 6 months of research before I selected my tires. I actually would go driving around looking for cars and get out and read their tire size.
