Default What do you guys and girls think

My 95 Firehawk has 72,000 miles on it. Its still rocking the stock Opti. I was planing on doing a tune up with a new cap and rotor but a buddy of mine has a complete LTCC setup off his car that he is selling. Said I could get it for 400.00obo with all the coil packs and the brackets for them as well. I know its probably not worth it to get if I am staying bolt on but at this price with everything but wires? What would you do?

I wouldn't. The company that made LTCC is gone and the only setup that is really worth the money is the EFI Connection swap. But that's only IF you are doing heavy mods. If the opti is still running strong then I would leave well enough alone IMO.

That's not entirely true Bob Bailey Engineering is still in business, it's Delteq who is no longer in business. $400 for the complete LTCC setup is a steal and I would jump on it because the complete EFI Connections setup is about $2000. How do I know because I had the LTCC and sold it nib then brought the complete EFI Connection setup with their custom harness and new LS2 coils.

Isnt the coil per cylinder a better setup then 1 coil per 8 cylinders? I know its not broke but wont it still be a upgrade to stock ignition?

And how do you like the setup?

How can you even compare the LTCC setup and the EFI connections 24x setup? If the opti works, don't mess with it. So many people running opti's with no problems. Opti > LTCC all day

There are a lot of fast LT1s still using the opti, the reason for swapping is mainly for tuning it a lot easier

efi connection is more reliable and tunable ,and will nearly pay for itself in one water pump/ opti change followed by icm/coil ,wiring problems.. in ether time, performance or cost...IMO it can be done for $1500 +/-
..currently gathering parts
