Default 96 Trans AM LT1 Production numbers.

Well today i was told my car was quite more rare then other LT1 Trans AM's
so i looked it up and found this website

http://www.thepontiactransampage.com/production.html

you look at 96 Trans AM's and its cut in half compared to the other production numbers around it? is that just some typo or is my TA just a bit more rare then the other LT1's
just wondering about it

Hmmn IDk but i have had a 96 Formula & 96 TA.. Wish i would of kept the Formula.. A friend of mine was on his bike and we were out of town at a friends house. It started to rain and he wanted to go to his grandmas and sleep, so i let him take my car. The next time i saw it it looked like it went the distance in a demolition derby. He stepped on it at like 55mph in the rain, and the guard rails played a game of pong with my car. I was so disgusted every time i looked at it it made me sick. I traded it in on a new Kia they gave me 500$ for it. (What i paid for 1 rim 6 months prior) Have regretted it ever since. Would have been fun fixing it back up in my spare time...

So is mine. I like the looks of my TA better as well, but the formula was low mileage, and the rarer of the two.

you can't really look at the year though.. you look at the "generation".. you have a 93-97 TA and not much changed with them. nobody is going to say "hey, is that a 96 TA?" they will say "nice TA, i like that style"

so really WE have a 1 of about 45,000 car. only mine IS a bit rare because it is a WS6 and only 4800 were made but still not too much apart from any other 93-97 TA.

they are special though since they are not made anymore and of course more die every day

They were all built in Canada, hence the 1st number in the vin being a 2.
