Default Got to take the good with the bad

The car is full weight with an extra 16 sheets of dyno mat with amps and spare still in the car.
The rear is a 9" with a 370 gear ratio.
Power is an AES 442 that made 550/512 at the rear wheels
M6 with a ls7 clutch.
Toyo ra'1s

I will start by saying that I havn't had that much experience drag racing and this was my first trip to the track with this combo.
My best et is a 12.1 at 125 mph. I did do a run were I did @ 12.2 at 126.5 mph
I couldn't do any better then a 2.1 sixty.
I not giving up I know I need a better tire. but i didn't realize how difficult it is to get the launch down.
Feel free to bash away.

I would say that is pretty for your 60ft time now put a better tire on there and improve your times.

The right suspension setup, the right tire and a better clutch you will go 10s easy.

Yeah no worries man. Get some slicks, suspension work, and a 2-step and you'll be 10s all day!

Sorting out a tire today should have something by this afternoon. Play around with the shock settings and pull the seats out of the car and try it again.

With that much power and an m6 I highly recommend going with 28" stiffwalled ET Drags. My 60' times went from 1.8s on 275/60/15 MT DRs to low 1.5s on 28" ET Drags. These times were also on a stock rear swaybar. Since then I've upgraded to a UMI drag bar and I'm shooting for mid 1.4s.

So went out again today track was well prepped. Had a MT drag radial, first run was a 1.95 60ft at 130 mph, car bogged off the line. Second time I launched at 3500 rpm with about the same results. So the tires were hooking good my third pass I launched at 4500 rpm and spun the clutch.
I new that was going to be an issue so I have been reading up on clutches.

What was the tire pressure? density altitude? What shocks/springs do you have? how heavy is the car? Give us a description of what the car has from front to back.

I don't know the DA. There was no humidity and the temperature was around 60 to 65 deg. I don't know the weight of the car. I have 16 sheet of dynomat in it and two medium size amps. The front sway bar was off and only the drivers seat was in the car. I have the Strano's springs and Koni double adj. shocks. I have airbags in both rear springs which had 10 lbs of air in them. The tires had are a 275 40 17 with 22 lbs of air. The track was prepped very well because there was a OSCA event on at the same time. If the clutch had held together and I had been able to make more then two runs then I would have pulled some air out of the bags and played with the tire pressure. I think if I had done that maybe even putting more air in the tires so that I could have generated a bit of spin off the launch then I could have dropped my 60 ft and quite possibly been in the tens. As I say I am pretty new to this, the car was never built to be an all out 1/4 mile warrior.
Big props to Fraser and AES for building an awesome motor.

Well better this time. Got my 60 foot down to a 1.70 my mph was still 130 and the ET dropped to an 11.23 switched to a McLeod street twin so I could launch it alot harder. I'm happy for a heavy car she pulls hard down the track run after run.
