Default D and OD feel like Neutral in my 98 A4

Well my mods are in my sig. I just got a good mail order tune from one of, if not the best tuner available. Everything is perfect except for the tranny problem I started having right before I got it tuned. I told the tuner about the problem and he said it is common in 98's with large cams. The problem is when the car is in drive or overdrive it just revs like it is in neutral. 1 & 2 work great and it will usually hit D and keep going until I let up or it's time to downshift. It just revs right up like it's in neutral but the car doesn't go. After the neutral like rev in drive or overdrive I have to drop it down to 2nd manually or slow down far enough it will kick down on its own to get accelerating again. If anyone has some trouble shooting ideas for me it would be awesome.

No stall yet, just did the cam and got a mail order tune so I can actually move the car.

Your 3/4 clutches are gone, welcome to the world of stock 4L60s. Time for a built trans.

For sure? Because I did smell a clutchy smell when it first started happening. I thought I was going crazy since it's auto. The car does have 130k on it...

Yep pretty sure. Seems to be the most common problem with these stock trans. It had a good run, mine made it to 54k and I didn't even get to spray it lol. Been driving around for 2 months with 2 gears, ordering an FLT on Monday though
