I think the motor is done!
In my bro's 00' Ws6. Car starts right up and oil pressure goes right to 40 psi, but there is a real bad squealing/screeching noise coming from the motor, no knocking. The motor will not keep running on its own, give it a little bit of gas and it will stay running. I took off the belts. Restarted the car and still has the noise and dies. No check engine light adn no codes. Pull the valve covers to check for a cracked valve spring or a dropped valve. They all seem to be just fine. I am thinking maybe a spun bearing somewhere.
Anybody have any ideas before we pull the motor?

Trex cam, ported and polished 243 heads, 7.400 chrome moly pushrods, prc dual valve springs and titanium retainers, ported fast 90 intake, pulley and long tube headers. Also has ARP Rod bolts and head bolts. The only part that has maybe 10,000 miles is the cam. All the other stuff is new. Just finished the car up a few months ago. Car is a m6 with a ram twin disk. Sounds like more towards the front but hard to tell, loud enough to hear inside the car with a open borla and no cats.

Thanks guys I will check everything out. I will check for the loose crank bolt. Tho I am leaning towards a spun bearing somewhere. The car starts right up but unless you give it some gas it will just die. Motor seems like it is going to lock up soon.
I did the rod bolts and did everything according to what ARP told me to do. I will do some more investigating but will be pulling the motor.

I had a motor do the same thing and it was a rod bearing. The squeal sounds like death. LOL. When you drain the oil, if it is a bearing, you will see it in the oil and in the filter. I have also seen an intake gasket make the same noise. I know it sounds crazy but I have. It was a high pitched whistle/squeal that was being caused by the air being pulled into it.
First thing I would check is for metal shavings in the oil/filter
