inadequate voltage
running tank less than 1/4
crappy aftermarket pump

cure:
more gas in tank constantly
racetronix hot wire kit
good pump from dealer or reputable source

My tank has never been close or even close to empty. Bc I heard that ruins pump.

About to months ago I changed all my lifters, could it be something isn't tight or clipped on right when I put my wiring harness back on.

And the fuel pump was oem for my 95 z28 m6 from pepboys.
I'm scared to buy the racetonix one and my car mess it up.

I will bet thats the source of the problem, i also have purchased autoparts store pumps and had the same results.....the pump in my car was replaced by an AC-delco part from chevy 6 years ago..

Make sure you throw some fuel pump lube in the tank every 6 months.

No of course not.

Make sure you have adequate voltage supply to the pump and it should live a long time....

The walbro in-tank pumps are as reliable as you're going to get, but EVERYTHING has an inherent failure rate. Make sure you have good power to it and get another one.

No lube required

I'm running the stock wiring on my car. I was running it when I had a 150 shot on my old h/c setup too and it held fine.

Me too, if it's in good shape it should be fine. Not all of them are.

I'm going to get around to adding the hot wire kit but the stock wiring is supporting my engine and 175 shot just fine right now

Hopefully you cut the hatch and didn't drop the tank.

Where are you getting these pumps.

Make sure you're getting a NEW, WALBRO.

Not something someone has laying around, and not one of the cheap chinese copies off eGay that look like a Walbro.

Oh yea I did the hatch! !!!!!!! I'm glad you guys told me about that. Idk what kind I bought it was from peoboys since I needed it asap. I asked for an oem 1 and they gave me one that was supposedly oem.

Ill be sure to buy a walbro this time. And hope all this is sorted out.

I still have the original opti that's never given me a problem. Only little ****.
I just can't seem to let go of my first damn camaro!!

Dirty installation is the leading cause of premature fuel pump failure.

The inner workings do NOT like sand and dirt.

Also, make sure you replace the filter when you change the pump, both the sock and the external one. And keep on schedule.

As for pumps, oem straight from a dealer or a genuine Walbro. I put a Racetronix kit in mine in April and all is well. It's a daily too; I would say I have atleast 5,000 miles + on it.

Do everything else they have said too. Keep it a clean install and don't run it dry.
