Default Best prices on 93-96 dash/crash pads?

Anyone know where to find a good deal on a dash pad? Found a local place (Trans Am Creations) that carries them for $240 (which isn't bad I suppose), but just wondering if there are places where I can get them for cheaper (93-96 style)? Thank you....

Edit: I think gmpartsdirect.com has them for like $225 shipped or so (which to me it is worth paying the extra $15 to get it locally and not have to wait for shipping). Still hoping they can be had for less

Are you talking about the cover piece that's on top of the dash?
If so, those break too easy, wish someone makes one made out of aluminum or something stronger. They always break when removing or installing.

I've dealt with them before, had a good experience. I envy you having them local to you. I need a 93-96 dash plate myself for the red car but have been putting it off...

Nothing to envy.. Their prices are a JOKE (way over-priced). Somehow their prices on the dash pads aren't too bad though.

Ripped off from another forum, need to verify #s:

10267171 93-96 camaro
10422746 97-99 camaro
10410583 00-02 camaro

10274437 93-96 firebird
10422746 97-99 firebird
10410583 00-02 firebird

Verified the one for the 93-96 Firebird, also for the 93-96 camaro.

10267171:

$258.00 shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-96...item43a18e571a

and

$240.00 shipped: http://www.newgmparts.com/partlocato...&siteid=213815

I've used the second outfit for parts on my Buick before.

and gmpartsdirect shipped to 33310: $225.00 is about right- they give you a 181.00 price and jack you on shipping...

Do tell how. Did you have a special connection? You are either damn good at persuasion, or the guys at the parts department are complete yahoos.

Negative. Those are caps/covers that go over an existing damaged dash/crash pad. I don't have one at all (threw it out). Notice how those don't have the center vent/grill.

They only had one in stock and it had been on the shelf for a few years.

Yeah I gotcha. I just can't risk buying a used one and having some imbecile pack it up and it cracks during shipping. Even if it is insured and I get money back, there is no replacement from a guy selling a used dash pad so I would be back at square one. This is why I prefer new. Not to mention - they are far less brittle than a used one.

That would be sweet, but suede?

Would be cool if you could have them wrapped in a vinyl to match the factory color/scheme. Would also be sweet if they didn't cost and arm and a leg.
