Default Chicken Little Wasn't Lying

the sky is falling and my GXP unfortunately played catch....

check out the carnage http://s1036.photobucket.com/albums/...GXP/Bad%20Day/

I know it could of been a lot worse but it still kinda sucks. I'm taking it to my local bump shop Wednesday to see what they will quote me for it, i hope its under $500.00 or I'm going have to make an insurance claim.

ahh bad day

I dunno i came home from work and found it like that. I'm kinda perplexed too, the only thing i can think of it my roof is leaking cause the fallen dry well was a little wet, but the wood up there has no sign of water damage.

Seriously.. take the car out, give it a good hose-down and a wash, then get some mcguires scratch-x and take a microfiber cloth and I bet you almost all of that will rub out without needing a body shop. Save your $$$

That sucks. You think the safest place for your car is the garage and this happens. I am checking the ceiling in mine right now cuz you never know. Hose it down 3 step cleaner, polish, wax and a glaze should help out. Give it a try first then maybe a detail shop before the paint shop. I hope it works out for you.

thanks for all the supports guys, and to answer a few comments I just got done trying to buff everything out (used a friends garage since i don't completely trust my right now). While most of it did, the scratch above the passenger side wheel well is too deep, it catches my finger the whole way across the scratch. I'm going to need a pro for that. Also after i washes all the debris off i noticed it actually chipped the paint on my front bumper by the passenger headlight. So it will for sure need to get paint on the bumper which sucks. I dunno what is worse having to fix my car or my garage.

Off topic. I love the color of that GXP. There is one at the dealership I work at for $13,990 2005 with only 59k miles. Garages can't always be safe either huh.

There doesn't have to be water marks on the trusses. Wet drywall is heavy as **** and probably just tore away from the screws.

That's lame.

haha just the insulation?, weak.. lol

No I'm just kidding man that sucks. Garages everywhere must be out to get the ls4.

on a side note had my first quote for the garage repair. Sure enough the guy said when he went up there and I had some pretty good warping of the wood due to water damage. So there is a leak up there somewhere. That gets me going because that roof is only 10 years old. But on the bright side he estimated only 6 grand to fix the leak and re do the damaged roof. I was kind of expecting it to be more but ill see what the other two estimates i have lined up have to say.

I'm getting my car estimate tomorrow hopefully it won't be too much...

Sorry for you.

Did they hit all the studs when they installed the drywall?

well to update I picked up my GXP from the bump shop today final cost was a little under $200.00. As for the Garage I also have contracted that out for a budget of $8,000. Ill Post pics tonight of the finish car. I'm happy I have my car back, i was really beggining to miss it.
