Default 228R cam most HP cylinder head

I know a lot of you have this camshaft. I want a little over 420 RWHP (on a mustang Dyno) right now I am at 351RWHP. What are the BEST HEADS you know from (experience) to go with a 228R camshaft?
-Specs on cam are TSP 228/228 @50 .588 Lift all other mods are in my Sig.
-I bet it will take an intake too. If so I will doa FAST 90/90.

The best set of heads we can offer for that would be our PRC 215cc aftermarket casting cylinder heads. You would almost have to go that way because you would need to be able to mill the heads to get some more compression in the motor. These heads have the thicker aftermarket casting so you can mill them and still retain good flow. I can't gaurantee that you will get all the way up there but that would definately be the way to go in my opinion.

I think the PRC 215s or 227 small bores would both be awesome options! Jon can get you the special pricing we were running last week! Iff you buy them without springs to move your springs over you'd be under $2000!!!

Take a look at tfs 220 as cast from vengance racing those should give u the power your looking for if you have ron clean them up and you can mill them more than standard heads due to them being 13 degrees.

Just did a C5 with the same camshaft and used the TEA 1.5s ...Good Budget Head and it worked well...If money isnt an issue TEA Trick Flows are probably the best bet as far as Cathedral port heads go. Id go with a 215cc version

I have the TSP stage 1 ls6 heads milled to 10.75cr on mine and made 405 through the auto on a stingy dynojet. I actualy made 3 more hp on the mustang dyno compared to that dynojet.

Afr 210cc heads with ported fast 92/92 and ls6 maf should get you 402 on a mustang dyno.

I run the same cam with PRC stage II 5.3L heads and got right at 420whp on a dyno jet at sealevel through a manual and 4.1 gears. I'm sure there are heads out there that will get you more peak power but under the curve is where it's at.

I have AFR 205's, which I got there on a Mustang Dyno with a smaller cam and only 10% under drive on the pulley. The new AFR 210's should do the job.

Having said all that, I have found out the hard way that dyno numbers don't mean a whole lot. For example, two dyno sessions on my car, new tank of fuel and lost 11 hp. Why, the new fuel was winter blend and not the summer blend. So there are lots of variables that come into play that you don't have any control over.

Thanks I have a lot of options now, I am leaning more towards 215cc PRC's or the AFR 210's. Im kinda a fan of Texas-speed products.
