Default daily driven lt1 in the 11s

went to the track last night and came back with two 11.9 timeslips. i still have room to grow with me driving tho. it launches hard but then bogs and falls on its face. i think im not flooring it fast enough. once i work that out, im lookin for an 11.6 pass.

car was driven to and from the track and has zero wieght reduction. it still had the spare in it. looks like im about ready for pinks next weekend

No one can make any guesses on any issues you may have without a trap speed.

Also, you are posting without a signature. Can't see it.

Man... I know it's full weight - but still. Should be a LOT quicker. Good luck none the less and kudos for it being your daily.

Have you data logged a run yet? Who tuned it?

Trap seems low for an M6 396. You always improve from your first time out though, so its a start!

Grats on getting a quick DD!!

Uhhh just a guess, but driving your car on a nitrous tune with no nitrous could be why it's falling on it's face. GET A TUNE!

There's no reason for a nitrous tune on most LT1's. Pull timing with the ignition box and adjust the a/f with fuel jets.

IMO, a tune could greatly help your issue. I think it should be the first place you start to get things straightened out. You can throw fixes at all the symptoms...but they're exactly that - just symptoms. Sounds like the root cause could be the tune.
