Hooker Stainless LT's
Is anyone running the stainlesss Hooker longtubes? I saw them tody listed on Speed Inc. I know Hookers work with the TSP catted y-pipe which I want to run. Hooker is a trusted brand but if anyone bought them hows do they fit, how was the install, and quality? Thanks in advance

They were on the car when I bought it... a friend of mine installed hookers on his trans am. He said they slid right in w/ no issues. Don't settle for the coated ones tho!!! Mine have 10k mi on them and the coating is peeling and starting to rust. This car only sees nice weather too. Pretty sure its from the front tires kicking up stones and hitting the collectors!

I just installed the Hooker 1 7/8 stainless on my car last week. They went on the car easy, and fit better than my mac-mids did. Plug access is about the same, overall I'm really happy with them. The stainless is definitely the way to go, under-hood temps are down quite a bit. I would definitely recommend them.
I used the Hooker Y for now, but Friday Im having a flowmaster merge welded in and a lightweight custom 4" exhaust.

I don't have pics yet, because it's not done. The exhaust is getting fabbed tomorrow morning. Ill take some pics.
The headers themselves ran me around $700 new. Hooker doesn't make the 1 7/8 in a race only version in stainless (go figure), so I then took them to fab shop to have that air pump nonsense cut off and patched. The shop did a brilliant job using some small stainless patches.
By the time its all said and done with the merge and new muffler, prob have another $700 into it.
