Default 6.0 liter

im currently running a 5.3 w/milled 243s, 2004r w/2400stall/3.42 gears. cam is a patg custom 218/222 .595/.597 lift. if i change out my bottom end to a 6.0 with the above cam and heads, what can i expect compared to what i have now?

Almost same exact peak numbers, but more average power.

is it worth doing then. i do miss the bottom end my old 413sbc had, but at the same time i like how my 5.3 pulls on the top end.

Hell yes it's worth it. You will get an increase in torque everywhere since you are not only going up in displacement, but you should go up in compression as well. You may actually make better peak depending on compression.

Peak numbers aren't everything.

OP, what numbers did you put down with that cam? I'm looking for a cam w/ about those specs.

What makes you think that? If compression stays the same I'm betting he gets 20 more hp to the wheels with a 6.0 compared to a 5.3. Displacement is a big deal and going from a 5.3 to a 6.0 is the same gain as going from a 6.0 to a 6.7 (408).
