BFG g-Force T/A KDW 2 question
Anybody have or had these tires? What do you guys think about them? Looking for some new tires (275/40/17) that are not as expensive as the Goodyear Eagles that came stock on the car, and with a little more performance if possible. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
My car is a 2002 Camaro SS, currently all stock other than upgraded suspension, daily driver, 17x9.5 rims (with the factory Goodyear Eagle 275/40/17 tires). The car sees some pretty heavy rain, and the current tires work well in the rain, so I'm looking for something that will get good wet traction. The current tires have about 27,000 miles on them, and still have a decent amount of tread left, so ideally I would like tires with good tread life.

The KDW2 are an excellent choice. They have better than OE dry and wet performance. I have personally used these at Miller Motorsports park on there school mustangs on the track and was very impressed the amount of grip this tire provided.
The only negative is these tires provide a little more noise. So turn up the stereo and get a louder exhaust.

I ran them on my car for the longest time. (i think i went through two sets) and i loved them. I had to get rid of them when i got the 4.10s cuz they werent quite sticky enough for street racing

I ran the KDWNT2's on the front with BFG drag radials on the rear for quite awhile. Awesome set!

Sounds good. Thank you for the replies. I just ordered the tires and will let you know what I think of them after I get them installed, hopefully by the end of next week.

I'm looking at these same tires, but in 295/35/18. Seems like a really good tire for the money. I'm trying to narrow it down. I can't decide if I want DR's in the back though. It's a daily driver until I can get another truck. It's between these, the NT555, Toyo Proxes T1R, or Falken FK452. What to do, what to do????

Hands down, THE BEST all purpose tires I've ever had. I've been caught in a couple heavy rains with these tires and at the time having approx. 425 RWHP, I never had any trouble. Compared to my Eagle F1 GSD3's that ended up puting my stock WS6 on it's roof after only a moderate rain. I will NEVER own another Goodyear tire, and not just because of that accident. Many more close calls and problems with Goodyears. The BFG KDW 2's are also pretty decent for hooking on the street when you lower the air pressure. The ONLY time I've ever had any trouble with them is when it's cold out. Especially after puting the twin-turbo's on. LOL.

I just ordered mine yesterday with 18x10.5 DD C5 machine/black from OEWheels. I got the 295/35 on the back and 275/35 on the front. It's gonna be a long 2 weeks waiting on them to come in, but when they get here, all I have to do is bolt them on.....hopefully. I might go ahead and get some 5/16" spacer just incase.

I've had the tires on my car for about 4,000 miles and I like them. The service was excellent from Tire Rack and they were cheaper than a couple other places I called. They get good traction in wet conditions and I don't have any complaints about them. The noise does not seem any louder than the stock Goodyear Eagle F1s and I probably would not care if they were loud. They also have an aggressive look.
