Best sounding mufflers for true duals?
I was wondering what the best sounding mufflers were for true duals? I see that most of the true dual setups are built with resonater type mufflers, however, how does that compare to a single set up as the SLP Loudmouth? Ive heard that set up with off-road pipes and longtubes, and its just not my taste. So would it be just as loud and obnoxious with duals and straight through resonaters? Im looking for a good sounding muffler with excellent flow yet wont be too loud. I dont want to rob too much power, but I also dont want it to sound like a straight through set up. Also, I want something thats going to give me nice clearance and will fit with tubular sub-frame connectors, FLP headers, Spohn torque arm with front loop, etc. What are my choices or from what youve experienced or have heard before, what would you suggest? Thank you so much!

Sound clip hosted on the sticky on top of the external engine forum under "True Duals"

Also,

www.JEGS.com (under a section called "exhaust")
Use Yahoo!
The bullets everyone's referring to are Dynomax Bullets.
Moroso Spiral Flow Bullets are also an option.

For the best sound for a 4th gen Fbody,, I would say Borla XR-1s....If you want the OLD SKOOL Chevy sound, you want Flowmasters...I prefer a nice deep tone on a newer FBody(Borla XR-1s), IMO the old skool sound dosent fit the looks of a 4th gen FBody...But to each his own...I wouldnt look at you bad if you got Flowmasters, so......
Good Luck!

How do the Dynomax bullets differ from the SLP Loudmouth resonaters? I personally hate the sound of the Loudmouth and I want it to sound as far away from it as possible. I know a "dual" Loudmouth wouldnt cut back on the popping and whatnot. To me, the Loudmouth has no sound to it, it just sounds like a straight pipe set up which it is when you combine it with off-road pipes and longtubes. From the description on the Dynomax bullets, it says theyre straight through. Does 2 of the bullets really make that big of a difference?
Secondly, will 2 Borla XR-1 mufflers fit under there?
