Default Exhaust Question

I bought a 2000 SS automatic about a month ago and am getting sick of the puss sound my stock exhaust is making and was checkin around on LS1Sounds.com listenin to different exhaust combos and have come up with 2 I would like to throw out.

If I pick to spend some money I was thinkin about going with Jet-Hot LT headers, Dynomax bullet mufflers then an X-Pipe or H-pipe and true duel 2.5" exhaust. Anyone know if that would be fine or would it be way to loud with the bullet mufflers? and would it give me a big HP gain for all that money?

If I pick to go with something simple I would probably just go with GMMG chambered exhaust (not sure what muffler ect.) and I'm not sure what the HP gains on that would be didnt really say on the website. Kinda wanna get a predator turner to make my shifts faster but want to do it after my new exhaust is put on. Any tips anyone can give me on this would be very helpful, thanks.

Stay away from the cross overs if you want the V8 rumble sound!

Think about Stainless works headers with the Magnaflow cat back system w/X pipe and duals, that would make a great sounding system.

You don't need a muffler with the GMMG- that's the beauty!

Ok sounds like I might just go with GMMG, that uses a Y-Pipe correct? Also what would be a good header kit to go with GMMG?

Go with some KOOKs, Jet Hots, QTP, Hooker. Any will do fine. Stay away from SLP's.. they hang lowwww.
For the price of GMMG, you can go true duals.
My 3" X-pipe/ dumped before the axle setup was less than $500 installed.
But GMMG is a great catback, so if you have the cash, go ahead and enjoy it.

700 for a catback or 500> for duals dumped.
