Default Got screwed over. Time to change some things.

To give a little back story here. I had my car built by a shop that I thought was reputable. I have a ls6 block with -2cc pistons. I also ordered Texas speed package ls6 heads with a torquer v.3. Well to make a long story short I had to return that cam to go with the shops custom grind. Well the guy refuses to give up specs of the cam and the car is not running right at all. I wanted a 4000 stall, I bought a 4000 stall. Guess what, I got a 3400 or 3600 stall the builder doesn't remember. So my plan now is to change the cam out and do the fuel system. I would like to go as big of a cam as I can with this stall speed. Car also has 3.73 gears so I think.

I appreciate any help guys

Chris

Put A law suit to this shop If you paid for something and got a different part (stall converter) you will wing just take your car to another shop so they can verify and put everything on paper! I don't know how you agree on changing the cam when you didn't even know the specs on the other cam!! What is the name of the shop??

Sounds fishy to me. I would be upset about not getting the stall I asked for.

No ****! Will not tell you the specs of a cam IN YOUR OWN CAR. w.t.f? Why did you go to them for the work?

I remember your thread you posted when you got the car back
https://ls1tech.com/forums/florida-m...aros-life.html

I used them a while back (about 6 years ago I think) when they were still in Brandon and at that time I was stationed in VA, so I never went back. I had a great experience but then things started changing and I started seeing all kinds of threads come up about how they got screwed over and stuff. Hopefully you can get it worked out one way or another.

Do you have receipts for your stall? So you could show that is what you provided them and then show what is actually in the car?

It's a huge story but basically somehow my torquer cam was "too big" and slapped a valve on a piston head. I was over budget and was leaving for boot camp. The shop went belly up so I can't do anything law suit wise. I called Fti and they said the only way I will know exactly what it is would be to pull the tranny and get a serial #.

Just talked to John from Texas Speed. He said, I should be looking at the Tsunami cam or Torquer V.3

Florida and "reputable shop" don't belong in the same sentence.

You need to get your car out of there and let somebody else finish it.

I ran a vigilante 4000 with a torquer v3. Very happy with the results. Pulled like a freight train.

Well I called FTI and they said if it was a 34-3600 stall speed, I could break it to about 2500. I can and feel like I can go a little more.
