Redoing my exhaust as well.
My cutout died about a month ago, and my car sounds way too tame with it closed, neighbors don't like it open... So, I'm thinking full 3 inch exhaust, would it be better to maintain single to dual exhaust or just make it completely single? Also, thinking about an SLP muffler.

FYI: For those who don't know, I'm only running MagnaFlow mufflers (and a burnt electric cutout... ), meaning no cat nor resonator.
I'm going for sound not performance, however, I may be getting the mani ported, headers aren't turbo compatible , part of my 3-5 year plan, was a 1 year plan but stuff happens...

I'm also not a big fan of the res delete. In some cases, it's just too much drone.

I have a 3" single, mandrel bends, Dynomax Bullet, then Spintech Pro Street with it dumped into a turndown by the back wheel. It's extremely loud inside the car. I'm planning to run it on out the back and/or put some dynomat under there. BTW, I'm down to very little rasp compared to the other setups. It sounded GREAT before that bullet broke in. Now it's ok...

i think just getting it out the back of the car would lessen the noise ... got any videos, i would love to hear it
i can only ever really hear mine over casual listening volumes on the stereo from around 2500-3000 rpm ... if my stereos up over 50% i could probably have a cutout and not hear it ... but i always find myself muting the radio whenever i know im about to hammer it ... on ramps, ricers in the vicinity, etc
something so calming and exhilarating about the sound of a V8 squealing tires ...

I'm sitting at solo performance exhaust right now having a new 3" to 2.5" stainless mandrel catback put on with a pair of their mach mufflers. I'll post pics when I'm done. It's replacing a pair of borla pro xs mufflers, so I'm looking forward to comparing the sound.

Bama's letting mods out, lol.
Not much can be louder in-car than the open cutout right under my seat.
Since, I decided to run single, what tip should I run, single or twin like it is now? Would a cutout be pointless, since it's basically already gonna be straight exhaust? My rear clip is already ruined so I'll be patching the empty spot, lol.

I really want some proof against the HP numbers between muffler brands... flowmaster being the brand with a poor reputation.

well the faster the exhaust can get out the better so a cutout would still be useful. and lol you should get a base grandprix rear bumper. SUPER SLEEPER!
