Unhappy Is 12's in my future?

I want to atleast get into the mid 12's for 2004. My fastest run has been a 13.16@109. My power mods are lid, free air, jet hot LT's, loud mouth. My suspension mod are BMR T/A, SFC's, Relo Brkts, LCA's, and I have eibach springs that I am removing come spring. I think the springs may be ruining my ET's. My 13.1 run was done w/ the eibachs and lid. I have made runs with my BFG drags but everytime I used them my time would be slower 13.3-13.5 to me the GSC's hooked up better, why I don't know. What could be the problem? I give the car hell! I dont baby the car at the track it trust me. I think my car is a slug there are cars out there runnin faster than mine w/ no mods. I want 12's. Do you guys think with all these mods it's possible or will my car just run a lowsy 12.9 . And what can I do to get the BFG's to work in improving my ET's. FYI I run the BFG's at 24psi and heat them damn pretty good. Anyways thanks guys - Ryan

Run the DR's at 18 psi. Heat them up well. Contact AINTSKEERED for a great launch method.

What are your 60' times? It's all there. I went through the same frustrations you did with almost the exact same mod list.

I slapped in a cam and gears and boom! 12's! Moral to the story... if all else fails, mod some more!

Alot of things factor into times. Track, density altitude, launch and shifting an M6. I struggled forever to hit 12's at my home track with headers. Went to another track that was excellent and ran 12.6 and 12.7's after adding 4.10 gears. After a cam mild only 212/218 the car run's 11.9

Practice....and 60' times are going to tell you what you will do at the end....and good air.

Before I got a 12 bolt with 4.10 gears I was running 12.6 - 12.7 with about the same boltons as you. Look at your 60' and 330' times. Get those 60' under 2.0 and you will see 12s.

i agree with steve, your 60' must be pretty bad. get that down and you et's will fall quick also your mph is pretty good for those times which suggest high 60's to me also. i was cutting 1.75 with nittos. if you are at 2.0 you will go from a 13.1 to a 12.70 to 12.80 assuming the general .15 drop for every .1 in the 60' good luck

Agreed ,You are running 109mph, with a good 60ft that mph should be 12s easily.

Yeah get that shifting down too!

Why contact Aint Skeered???? HE IS SKEERED! lol j/k

My tip----- buy a 9 inch with some 430 gears and a set of 28x11.5 slicks and a good driveshaft and do some 5K rpm clutch dumps.
