Default Tint: 35% front doors, 20% back doors, what % rear? Pics?

Just picked up an '06 DCM GXP and am going to have the windows tinted on Saturday.

On F-bodies, I've always done 20% sides and 5% rear, but realistically, that is a bit on the dark side for a car I'm driving 100% of the time now and mostly at night... don't like having to try to concentrate on looking through my tint when making left/right turns.

So... going to go with 35% on the front windows as 20% is a bit too dark for me at night. Definitely going to do 20% on the back doors though.

Trying to decide on % for the rear window. 5% or 20%? I always thought the 5% was a bit on the dark side for reversing at night in F-bodies, but they also have a very long slanted back window that I'm sure amplifies the darkness when looking straight out the back.

How is reversing at night with 5% tint in these cars? I suppose I'd be happy with 20%, but my daughter is going to be in a rear-facing carseat for a little while longer, and I'm concerned that 20% might still be a bit on the bright side for her when she really can't turn her head away from the sun in the carseat.

Finally, anyone have pics of 35% front/20% rears on their GP? That's what I'm going with regardless for the side windows, but I'm still curious to see what it'll look like ahead of time. Bonus if it is DCM

Double post.

35/20

20/20 ignore the silver vent, I was bored messing around... (Recommended as it looks uniform and really isn't that much darker at night)

And reverse with 20% blows, I either Ace Ventura or use the side mirrors.

Awesome, thanks for the pics. If 20% is hard enough to reverse with at night, maybe I should just go with 5% back there if I'm going to have to rely on the side mirrors anyways.

Do you have it blown up and hung on the ceiling above your bed so you can see it every night?

I have 5% on the rear glass and rear door windows, 20% on driver and passenger fronts. It's tough at night when backing, so much so that I'm probably going to add a rear-camera to the Nav system.

That said, I think my black car looks sweet with dark window.
