Default Those who purchased 1 7/8" headers lately chime in....

Looking for opinions on those who purchased 1 7/8" headers lately for 98+ F-Body. Are you pleased or would you have gone a different route? Please list the manufacturer as well.

I am looking to pull the trigger on some this month and am looking for longevity and max performance.

Thank you,

Default 1 7/8 ARH Headers

I did'nt buy mine recently, but when I did, they fit nicely and the quality seems pretty good.

They are 1 7/8" into the ARH Y with no cats to a 4" merge > then a Mufflex 4" > Magnaflow. Sounds Awesome !

I'd like to get the Kooks true duals, but for what I have now = good enough ! + tired of spending the Cha Ching $ !

Just did mine. See link of thanks.
I love the LT's and system as a whole. I still like my Dual Dual still as well. I just need to get a tune.

Why the 1 7/8" stepped to 2"? What's your plan for using these headers?

Thanks,

Curious...what are YOUR intentions? Motor specs, etc. Maximizing current build or investing for future upgrades?

Planning on full 2" myself...will be Kooks or ARH for sure.

tsp 1 7/8 here. Good quality and fitment is great. The gave me more ground clearance than my old slp headers, but i guess thats not saying to much. lol

I have a fully spec'd N/A 347 by Tony Mamo about to go in. AFR heads, etc etc etc. I am looking to squeeze every bit of HP I can given my combination. It is street/strip.

Also, I am looking for longevity(stainless steel) and possibly larger displacement in the future(never rule that out), thats why I am interested in 1 7/8". I have noticed by pictures that kooks tend to rust(very minimal) still due to the type of SS used, but most likely never rust through. Do the ARH do the same?

Thanks

Any stainless header will rust if you get it too hot.
