Default Blown GT

So what would a Blown GT run with gears, exhaust, and the charger is a Roots style...would it beat a SS with LT Headers, !cats, !EGR, LS6 manifold, SLP Loudmouth, SLP Lid, SLP MAF, MSD Wires and AC Rapidfires No AC and we're both on Nitto's, and I'm on 315's

I beat a blown GT with a lid and catback only. The amount of power a blown GT can make greatly varies. There's a member here who makes around 550rwhp in his blown 2V Gt.

depends on what year but it would be close...youd probably be in the mid to low 12's with your mods. Its possible for him to be in the 11's though...bottom line i wouldnt put money on the race

u should run 12.5 and the gt will probably not beat you.
i raced on the other day at the track with slicks and a cam that would barley let it idle vs. my bolt on car with nittos. i had him by over 5 cars at the 1/4 mile. so blown probably isnt much difference

He is probably in the low 12 to mid 12 range. So if he can drive he could beat you. Like unit said they vary. I would say most are in the mid 12 range.

well no tune, but you need some tires. 245 nittos will do great, just pray for the rear should be ok for a few passes to prove your point
oh yea, how fast do you shift will have so affect also

Well I got 315's in the back...so that should do fine...I want a damn 12 bolt but I heard a 9" would be better? Any suggestions on that?

12 bolt will hold fine for your power level....9 inch rears do stand up to a bit more power but its something like 4% over a 12 bolt...you shouldnt be breaking 12 bolts with a stock internal motor...

i beat a roush stage 2 with a vortech blower on it, now its no roots style blower, but its still blown, i just have a lid, LM, and free mods, i got a shitty launch too, put about 3 cars on him...anything is possible though, id put my money on you though, esp with the LT's and nittos and ls6 intake

as was stated the only pertinent thing i could add to this is that theres a lot of variables that will dictate how fast a blown new edge GT will go....they CAN be pretty quick. depends on boost, suspension setup, tires, etc etc...
