Default Tire Decision

I know there are a ton of these threads but I'm trying to decide and I'm having a hard time. Currently I have BFG KDW 295/35/18's and I don't any traction at all. I don't know if it's just cause they're so old or what. From what I saw they were made in 06. Not sure how long they've been on the car. Anyways I'm looking to replace them. I've been trying to decide between NT-05r's, R888s, and RT-615's. I'm open to other suggestions too. I really like the R888's but haven't seen good things about using them as a street tire. My car is not a DD and is driven roughly once every 2 weeks and never in rain or anything. It's a 6.0 H/C car that I'm hoping to have about 450 rwhp so with that in mind what tire would you guys recommend?

First off, what size wheels. I assume you have 18x10.5? I bought the R888s. I haven't used them yet but I heard a lot of good things from the Mustang owners. They run them with their 600HP cars and hook great with them. A few people on here have used them and recommended them. They are made for cornering and what not so they are going to handle great on the street compared to a DR.

Sorry yea I have 18x10.5. I really like the look and price of the r888s since ebay has them for 350 shipped but I'm worried about their life expectancy on the street. How many miles do you think I could get out of them when I drive my car like every other week? Also, in kansas we get pretty cold temps. Not sure how well they'd do in the cold. Do you guys think nt05s would hook or would I need the radials? there so expensive for 18s. I wish oe wheels had some 17x10.5 but oh well. Well, let me know what you guys think.

depends on how you drive the car and what you want from it. if you want a tire you can launch off of, i know for a fact i smoke my NT-05's. If you want a corner carver tire that's where the NT-05 is leading the pack along with the RT-615.

I would drive a street tire over a DR in cold whether any day. Driving the car once a week.... you will have any tire for a long time.

I also bought them off ebay for 350 shipped. It's a good deal. IMO I would try them out first and see if you like them. It would suck to buy 600 dollar nittos and end up like the 350 dollar toyos more.

Toyo also makes a nice drag radial tire. Proxes TQ.
