Firehawk Owners
Im always on this website checking out all of the cars and everything. I never really post because my question usually has already been asked and the answers are everywhere on this forum. Anyway, here is my question.
How far have you taken your modifications? Ive done a few things here and there but I was just wondering if anyone out there had an insite as to the worth of the Firehawk and what kind of mods would change it. I look forward to hearing some of your answers.
Semper Fi,
Ryan

Unless you have one of the first year hawks, or any year hawk w/under 2k miles, mod it, its not like we own COPO camaros or anything, our cars are everywhere, even though their limited, its not like theirs only 50 or so made, sorry to tell you, just use it and enjoy it, I do. See my fquick. Also sign up @ www.Firehawk.org if you have not already.

i have 2 hawks, a 95 and an 01. of the two my 95 is modded to hell and back. the only thing left to do to it is build a new short block. everything else has been modded. the only thing i refuse to do it cut the car. beyond that its all fair game! the 01 has some mods in store for it as well....

Thanks for your input guys. Like I said, Ive done some very minor appearance mods to mine. I cant afford performance mods right now and mostly because I was never too sure how it would affect my car. That and I have a serious phobia about buying **** online. haha
I have an '02 Black Firehawk #0256. I changed the decals from that horrific pink color in the swoosh to red and got head rest embroiderments but thats pretty much it. Anyway, like I said, I appreciate it!

I have a 1999 TA Hawk (#C08). I've kept the modifications pretty conservative, appearance wise. Embroidered headrests, cross drilled rotors, changed the rear filler panel ("Trans Am") to the silver one from the CE, and added two small chrome SLP badges, one on the rear, and the other on the dash, below the SRS logo. Under the hood, its got Corvette FRCs with Firehawk logo. On the SLP airlid, its got a decal that gives the car number, underneath the logo "SLP Engineering".
I spent a bit more $$$ underneath. Subframe connectors, adjustable panhard bar, boxed LCA's, adjustable torque arm, and the complete SLP Stage 3 package (Eibach springs, Bilstein shocks, and 2002-spec front and rear sway bars). Also changed the tires to Goodyear F1.
I tried to keep it very subtle, and tasteful. Unless you know what to look for, its looks like a totally stock car.

I had mine done by a local place that spends nearly all of its time converting new cars from cloth interior to full leather, for dealerships. So, intead of using my original headrests, which are mostly vinyl (despite what GM says), they put on brand new grey leather (matches perfectly), and stitched the Firehawk logo on them, for around $150. It took about a week or so; I stopped by, they took some measurements, then went back, and they re & re'd the headrests in about 20 minutes. Looks totally factory, and is something that SLP should have done in the first place.

223 Hawk & Maximus006 thanks for your input and info on the headrests. I have mine off right now and they will be sent out to Grant.
Your right this should have been done by SLP when they had the cars, it would have cost very little to get them done and a nice extra touch to these Firehawks. I would also like to get the rear parcel shelf mat with "Firehawk" on it but don't know where to get this.
