Talking Lt1 swap

IM PLANNING ON DROPPING AN LT1 INTO A 89 MUSTANG. any suggestions on how to go about it,what i need as far as parts.I would appreciate your guy's help.

sounds fun. its pretty common to put SBC's into stangs. how are you wiring it up? what harness are you using?

I will be using the stock lt1 harness.do i need to buy a K member for sbc?headers or stock manifolds.

Ford and Chevy don't mix. You're going to have to use the Ford k-member and fabricate/weld SBC mounts, or perhaps someone sells a motor mount conversion. Prepare to fabricate some custom parts.

AJE k member with sbc mounts. Kooks and dynatech sell swap headers for sbc in Mustang as well.

Haha that's cool! You'll be pissing off alot of people. Ford guys that got beat by a Chevy powered ford, and LSx owners that got beat by a LTx powered fox body. Haha cool project man!

I know they make kits for sbc's which is I'm sure what you'll need. I just don't know who makes them. Good luck!

not sure how that stick harness will hold up in the 'stang. id get a standalone if i were you. stock k member should work but will for sure need new mounts. all i can say is RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!!!

Im going to pull the lt1 motor out of my camaro next week.is a 355 with full bolt ons and a healthy cam (234-246 @110) .A 383 is taking its place in the camaro while the fox body gets the 355.
