The car will have more weight to it the the ss do to the body kit bigger brakes and blower/beefed up drivetrain. If this thing is sub 4k ill be surprised. And the price...gt500 will be faster and cheaper and better looking sorry but until the alpha platform comes out its much fail.

i dont think it will be much heavier then the ss if not the same weight, the only thing thats going to add weight would be the supercharger but im sure they have removed weight in other places (like aluminium/carbon fiber hood)
but anyways it is still an lsa so it will respond to mod much more then the gt500 and im sure it will stomp all over it

Besides gt500 is not a 3900 lb car, the ZL1 will most likely be 4k lbs as they are adding more weight to it with more "styling". I love Camaros but not these new 1st gen zbody ones. For the price of this tank you can get a couple year old C6Z06, and have about 20k left over to play with. Some of the new ones look nice but performance wise GM did not do the Camaro heritage justice, since when did a Camaro have an IRS?
Jerry's right the car will be cannon fodder for the gt500 which would be about 150 ish lbs lighter. One I know of in particular is a bolt on car and put 690 to the rear tires. Can the Camaro do the same? We shall see.

still not a 5th gen fan even with a blower on it but theyre def moving in the right direction..styling of this ZL1 is a lil busy for my taste but the power is there..

iv read somewhere it will be priced aroung 47k, i think it will do pretty well against the GT500, the CTS-V 4 door has a 12.3 1/4, the same as the 2011 GT500 (according to Road and track) and im betting the camaro is lighter than the V and will respond better to that kind of power, it should sell better as well, based on how well camaros are selling now, not to mention its not in production yet they could still do small modifications to the engine to increase its output all the sources said they ESTIMATE its power to be the same as the V.
