I was born and raised there. I'd like to know how it has changed since I was there if at all. I do remember getting the car registration/safety inspected. They scanned the car, then checked the gas cap for seal and did a visual inspection under the hood, that was it and it passed. I wonder if it's still the same.

All I know is I am going to K-Bay. I have to ship my car out of pocket. The military is going to only ship my truck for free. And what I been told is I need a Hawaii saftey inspection and a Reconstruction Permit for the Mods I have done to my car. I have tried calling the DMV and all I get is fax manchines and busy numbers

i may get in trouble for linking but hop on HIFBA.com and they can help you out with specifics, when I was stationed there, there was a ton of heavily modded cars and they are glad to help out when they can. good luck out there

i was there man for 4 years at scholfield. I had my Lt1 there. I saw a few locals with f-bodys and well as plenty of military out there with GTOs, vettes and what not. There isn't much out there for performance shops/dynos i just knew of the one in Waipahu. You will enjoy eating of ton of punk hawaiian kids out there with rice burners. Enjoy! Stay away form Waikiki!
oh ya there isn't **** for a 1/4, 1/8 track on oahu
