Default DDM Tuning HID kit noise... PLEASE LISTEN TO VIDEO

Hey guys, whenever I turn on my fog light switch it makes this noise in the video twice. I have the wiring kit recommended for HIDs and also note that my driver side bulb begans to turn on and then flickers off while the passenger side is fine. The sound is coming from behind the power brake booster by the firewall on the driver side. Any ideas? listen to the video below.... the sound occurs at the beginning of the video and at 6 seconds, it happens right after I turn the fog switch to on position.
thanks!

I don't know what the sounds is, but if one of the lights flickers and doesn't come on with the wiring harness you have a bad ballast.

Thats good to know, so the driver light has flickered and turned off since about a week after they were installed, but the noise just started. My car has not been used lately as I just got it off jack stands from working on the fab9.

Until you replace the ballast I don't know what more can be said.

My guess is the wiper motor. It's not uncommon for that to freak out for whatever reason in our cars when HID's are installed. The harness that DDM sells should take care of it.

If you're absolutely positive it's coming from where you say it is, I'd do a quick search for the wiper motor issue. I've had one person PM me in the past about that.

Can't really tell since my speakers on the computer suck. but if it is the wipers then you need the wire harness, Had an issue with the wiper freaking out when I turned them on. Got a harness from ebay for like 10 bucks and bam fixed. Then my ballast went out and DDM sent me a brand new set of HID's. So i'm not complaining. Like said before if you have the harness then its got to be the ballast. Not a whole lot that can go wrong.

^^^

Also, switch around the drivers side ballast to the passenger side, and see if the flickering moves to that side. Granted the fog light switch thing might still be there.. who knows maybe a new ballast would fix that too?

i had the same clicking sound coming out of what seemed to be the dashboard/brake booster area. i also thought it was the wipers; my wipers would even turn on and move up a bit and then go back down. i got the 2 wiring harness, one for my headlights and one for my foglights and all the problems went away.

some suggestions: make sure u installed the harnesses correctly. also when u ground it, make sure u sand the paint down then ground it to the body. like some ppl said, check the ballast. im pretty sure this is being caused by ur HIDs, not the wiper motor.

ok, thanks for all the good info everyone. Ill try swapping the ballasts to see if it goes away. What is weird, even with the driver fog light going out before, it did not make this noise. Also try to get a replacement ballast from DDM since I live in SD.
