The kicker equipment seems to be a little more expensive and I think the punch's sound just as good, if not a little better.

Out of the two, Fosgate, but out of anything, neither. Kinda hard to say without know exactly what speakers your looking at.

Default rockford or kicker

ive been dealin with car audio most of my life... i can tell you rockford and kicker are both good subs, but....... i think the kickers are more durable. i have 2 kicker CVR 10s on a PPI 2000.1 mono amp and after 3 years of beating the hell out of em, they're still kickin. i design custom built and tuned inclosures as well, if you got questions, msg me. clint.

In my opinion I would go with Kicker. I had two L7s in a ported box with a Memphis 1000.1 amp. I hit 148.3 on the dash with the windows up. I would turn the amp down when I rode around because if it was all the way up it would beat your brains out. As far as sound quality they were decent but they could really reach the basement on the low notes. One word of advice, my car had more rattles and squeaks than a Jeep when I pulled them out.

Are you just limited to those 2 brands? I have used JL for the past 15yrs and have never looked back. A tad bit on the expensive side but well worth it IMO. Just throwing out my 2cents. Between the 2 you mentioned they are about the same. Squares don't have the best sq but are loud as hell.

I think rocksford makes a better amp of the two, but kicker L series sub will take some serious abuse. As for components Id choose a rocksford over the mid priced kickers. Kickers you can usually get older model components for quite cheap. I personally like the boston acoustic components when on a decent budget

Both have a reputable name, but IMO, Kicker hands down.

If you trying to stay within your budget the fosgate is the way to go but if you want great bass the kickers is where its at. I bought two 12 inch fosgate and two 12inch cvr kickers and found out the kickers hits harder in my trans am. But both are great subs

Between the two Kicker

However
I would go with the T3 Audio T600 series over both of them.

I can get you these but if interested you will need to PM me for best price. MAP pricing will not allow me to tell you what I can do them for

The T3 T600 in a 10 or 12 is a very nice sub. I ran them in my C5 for awhile. I am currently running Vibe SPace 6 which is amazing sub

The Vibe Black Air is some nice stuff as well I can get for you.

Kicker all the way, Fosgate is very good but I'd rather have Kicker. I have 2 15" CVR's and the back of my truck gets half an inch of flex.

The T3 T600 will outperform the Kicker and Fosgate.

Check them on on youtube. These subs are awesome for the price.

Your looking at 10 inch subs for a hair less than 100.00

I had 1-12 in my C5 for awhile it was awesome

Now you really want something nice.
I am now putitng in a Vibe SPace 12 in my C5

Between the 2 i would go Kicker they hold up well, but if your looking for sound quality i would consider JL audio or Image Dynamics.
