Default Opinion on road noise for dual rod end LCA's?

Particularly the Sphon dual rod LCA's. I heard them in a friends car but I was only in it for 30 min or so. So it didnt seem bad at all to me. Does the road noise become unbearable after a while, or do you just get used to it?

It's all relative.

Some people expect a cadillac ride and noise level, yet complain about traction or poor handling.

Whatcha gonna do ...

Not sure if this will be of any help, but I can tell you that I noticed no difference in road noise between stock LCAs, BMR rubber/poly LCAs, and LG poly/rod LCAs. I did notice an improvement in performance though...

I suppose that helps somewhat, being that every design mentioned should have a more increased possiblity of road noise. Hopefully, that is the case. Yes, I do belive any answer reguarding the opinion on road noise is based on perception. Just trying to see what the majority of people on this medium believe to be the case. Thanks for your opinions.

I have 'clunks' on bumpy roads w/ my G2 Poly/Rod LCAs.... dosen't bother me at all when I'm in the car. Now when someone is in the car, it bothers me cause I always here... "oh my god, what is that sound.. is your car falling apart.... is that normal???"

I've only torqued to 74 ft/lbs though.. I need to go muscle on them to 90 and see if it helps the 'clunk'

Belive me, the handling difference is MORE than worth the extra road noise.... go for some aftermarket LCAs!

Same for me with Billingsley LCAs. They are noisy on a bumpy road, but the rear is much freer than with bushing LCAs. I would not recommend them for a daily driver unless you drive on smooth roads.

Your going to some-what hear some noise on these components going over dirt roads and pot holes but I have limited this using a super teflon lined rod end on my products and they work great as the ball is tight in the housing!!!

I have the Spohn single rod end LCA's. You could try that. Same thing, but only one end is a rod end. Supposed to reduce the road noise. I'm putting them in Tuesday, I'll post back here once I get them in.

I installed a set of BMR poly/rubber LCA's and didn't notice a difference at all. Noise doesn't bother me that bad though.........exhaust takes care of that most of the time Also ordered some of BADZ's adjustable LCA's and panhard rod with rod ends off of ebay the other day. Can't wait.... They look like they should work very well. And they look awesome too!!!

<satisfied badz customer. I dont think that are any noiserer then stock, and when I get my exhaust on I wouldnt be able to hear them any way. If you want silent buy a lincon with air suspension If you want handleing and traction talk to badz .

BADZ stuff is top choice in my book esp for the price. Have his LCA's and PHR for the last 1 1/2 w/ no problems. Them things are just as tight the day I put them in. Regular maintenance is all that's required. I'd buy from him in a hearbeat again. Seems alot of people just go w/ LG which is fine but I think PPC is the best kept secret.

Well.... before I started offering my own LCAs & PHB..... I installed what I thought would be the best units (by the company's reputation). I went with rod ends because I road race.....

They were the most God-Awful things I've ever experienced. My wife would not ride in the car for fear of something falling off! Oh, they worked fine... but NEVER on a street car.

My units use teflon lined rod ends and are DEAD QUIET. You really would never know they are on the car.

I got my Spohn single rod end LCA's installed, and besides the bushing squeaking (got some lube on order), there is NO additional road noise that I could tell.
