I've been on fleabay. Looking for some decent looking tail lights that don't look like rice...Honestly I'm a fan of the LT1 camaro tail lights or the Euro tail lights with no amber lights.

Let me know if I'm missing something...thanks

Yeah. Sucks. I tinted my stickers and kept getting pulled over for them. So I got some black tail lights. Black housing to be more specific. I haven't seen any good ones yet. I was just thinking of picking up some more stock ones and putting the red out tape stuff on them. I like how it looks.

What I may do is buy LT1 tail lights and just put in LED bulbs.... I'll keep the stockers....

Funny its the opposite with TAs, everyone wants LS1 lights...

Yeah thats the trend. The LT1 lights just give the car a cleaner look IMO.

i hate amber lights, so that was my first reason to get lt1 tails, but after having them i noticed that the have a very nice line that spilts the reverse light and also follows line of the hatch

Bad....Those where the only ones I sort of liked. I hated the red markers in the middle. Other than that, I'd buy them!

Still torn on LT1 light with LEDs....glad I'm not the only one!

For those who swapped to LT1 tail lamps, what needs to be done with the wiring or bulb sockets to get them to work?

I always wanted something different for the tail lights but there all bad, the more and more you look it makes you like the stock ones better imo. These were the "best" i could find, no chrome but still..

100% agreed. I would like to see the 93-96 or LT1 if you will; lamps put back into production but with some updating. Crystal lenses, easy fitment to 97-02 sockets.

OEM's are tough to find in good shape....they certinly do look the best though.

Yeah it seems like the real only options are the ls1 lt1 or export tails, or vht. Im probably just going to end up smoking mine but i dont mine those export taillights. Unfortuanly though i dont think there are any suitable aftermarket replacements..

All I had to do to mine was shave some plastic around the slots so the bulb housings could lock in better
