Extreme Makeover - Trans Am Edition
I've been posting on this forum for a couple of years now, ever since I bought my Trans Am. But I never posted any pics of it. There is a reason for that....it looked like I bought it with a salvage title. The guy I bought it from had already started replacing the front panels with donor parts, then sold it on ebay. It had no frame damage, just cosmetic, and only had 68k miles. It ran fine and was what I was looking for, so I have been tinkering with it the past two years. I finally got a paint job last October, then put the new wheels and tires on it last week. I took a few after pics to go with the before pics today. Not the greatest pics, but you get the idea. Nothing really special about what I did with it, but considering what I started with, I'm pretty happy. Lemme know what you think.

Thanks for the props guys. I put a lot of hours into the car, even though it was in pretty decent shape. The interior looked like a cat had been living in it...white cat hair everywhere. Took the seats and carpet out, scrubbed the leather, repaired the abrasions and tears in the side bolsters. Cleaned melted candy and chicken bones out of the carpet. Replaced the convertible top fabric. All new exhaust (the car spent its previous life in Michigan, so lots of rust holes in the exhaust). New plugs, wires, water pump, opti, icm (car ran fine, but water pump was leaking, so I figured I would freshen everything up while I was at it). Also did all the mods in my sig. Replaced the aftermarket radio with a used factory unit, new speakers, Alpine amp, replaced the lights in the steering wheel controls, refurbished the tail lights. Plus a lot of time spent taking things apart and putting them together just to see how they work. Other than paint and body work, I did everything myself with the help of this and other forums.
