Who has repinned your LT1 harness for 24X?

I refuse to break off 850 for a ******* wiring harness. You can go buy a LS1 standalone harness a lot cheaper than that lol.
I emailed 2 other conversion wiring harness companies to ask what they would cost. Worst case is I'll just get er dun myself in my spare time. The pinouts are available from EFI Connection for both PCM's, you just swap the wires over and the ones that arent there, you add.
It looks like each sensor on an LT1 has it's own ground as well, and they all go to the same place on the LS1 PCM, so that's no huge deal. Just takes some time.

I re pinned my own. I have actually been thinking of making it public knowledge that people could send me their harness + the $100 conversion DIY kit and I would re pin it and ship back

I chose the expensive route and while it was not cheap, the price differential wasn't much more than a new OEM harness. I wasn't even considering re-pinning a 14 year old harness even though it probably would have been fine. While I'm sure its not difficult to re-pin the harness, I would hate to make a mistake and have some issue which would require tracking down what the hell I did wrong lol.
I know of another company that makes custom harnesses however they are not much cheaper than the EFI 24x offering.
Either re-pin or save up and go with the EFI harness IMO. It is a really nice harness with everything marked nicely for a seamless install.

^^^^^^^ I agree with everything said above, I "paid the cost to be the boss" because to me the worst thing in the world is chasing electrical gremlins. Plus my harness is 16 years old and I just felt more comfortable buying the new plug and play harness plus EFI Connections added a shift light feature on mine and you can get other options. I also brought the billet TPIS timing cover to clear my double roller timing set and 8 new LS2 coils. I just feel better knowing that I'm starting off with all new stuff.

I guess it all depends on the condition of your existing harness.
I wasn't crazy about repinning an 18year old harness even if it only had 60k on it.
Some of the guys with newer cars might have harnesses in better shape.
If you have the time and patience, it's a great way to save some cash and it gives
you the flexibility to alter, eliminate or add things to the harness.

Mine was a 94 with 100k on it and was in great shape. It had been garaged most of its life though.
I know people market the whole "not reusing a xxyr old harness thing" as justification to pay the price for a new one, but really, when's the last time you heard of someone having an LT1 harness just fall apart?

I think he's still driving that thing around. I doubt it ever saw a garage LOL
My 93's harness was still in decent shape and fully functional.
I sold it cheap so someone could put it (or peices of it) to good use.

I had a local wiring shop re-pin and refurbish my harness for me and I feel it was well worth it. The guy does a bunch of high-end show cars and makes complete custom harnesses as well doing work for OEMs and such. He's doing a bunch of other wiring work for me so I don't know the exact cost vs. buying a brand new one, but it's way cheaper than the new one that's available, and I'm sure it's every bit as nice or nicer than that one.
