how about those Ram Air kits like the FTRA that blocks the radiator? the reason i want to remove the delfector is to see if i can play around with a homemade ram air.

The air dam makes the air go upward into the radiator. A SLP Intake goes infront of the radiator and the air deflector feeds it and the radiator, since the radiator doesnt get its air straight on,

when i had my grand am it broke off, it was off for a good 4 months, all i noticed was a little increase in temp, nothing huge...i would think that it would be fine to take off for a little bit i you wanna play around with a homemade ram air, but in the end i would prolly want to incorporate the air deflector back into the car with your homemade ram air setup...
