carbon fiber hoods Who makes them for Camaro's? I have a buddy thats going ls1 (he owned an lt1) and one of his first plans is to get a much lighter hood. He said he want's a carbon fiber one...who makes em for F-bodies? And are they worth it?
Btw, he would paint it the color of the car, not some other random color to make everyone know he had a stupid hood.

Hi guys...
There is about a 4pound weight difference on our cosmetic style cf hood - this particular hood has a clear cf finish on the topside and is designed not to be painted.
Our cf hoods that are designed to be painted - these would have a black gelcoat finish as our glass hoods - have a greater weight savings. This would bring the hood down from 28lbs to around 14lbs. We have been working on new methods with our cf hoods and other products to save more weight.
