95 Trans am Fresh build Quit Running.... I Recently Rebuilt My LT1 in my 95 Bird and Drove it for about 1000 miles and It Died on me one day comin home from ork... The opti is brand ne from autozone but i took it apart and everything looks fine inside. i also took the catylitic converter off and it is not plugged up at all....also checked the Fuel Pressure andif you prime it, comes right up to 42lbs, cant check it running.
It still HAs Oil Pressure and turns over fine...but if you can get it to Run at all the Headers get Reall hot and the only ay it ill stay running is if you mat the gas pedal and hold it to the floor... sounds like it could be a lean Condition, but I dont kno anything else it could be..
Anybody got any ideas??

THe headers getting real hot and redish is NOT good. HOw is your ignition wires? Are they crossed at all?
DId you put the timing chain on correctly?
Is your MAF plugged in or blocking airflow?
Get a scanner and check for codes and to see if the maf is reading correctly

NO Plug ires crossed...timing chain is on correctly...maf is never been used.I Dorve the car for about 1000 miles and then this strated.. thought it could be the cat because i ran race fuel through it... could it have hurt the plugs maybe?? NGK tr6's....

I figured that about the plugs...I cleaned them anyhow...the car will fire If you spray brake cleaner in the intake...
