Default E85 mpg?

I'm really interested in mpg on turbo applications but I'd like to know what kind of E85 mileage you are getting. I was getting 10mpg before switching to E85. Curious what I will get afterwards.

I run E85 in my 90 turbo eclipse and i get 17-18 mpg on e85, and 21-22 on gas.

My rx7 in my sig got 22mpg when we checked it this summer, but it is a lot lighter car. We also cruise very lean on e85 to help with our gas mileage, but it doesn't knock or stumble like it would on pump.

Yes, Expect about a 10 to 12 % decrease in mileage/performance.

You can pretty much guarantee ~30% drop in mileage on your average compression motor as that's how much more fuel it requires at stoich.

I had always heard 10-30% decrease in mileage but there is also a decrease in engine temperatures.

I guess it is a tit for tat trade off.

i get roughly 7-8mpg as far as I can tell. Speedo doesn't work, but I know my job is 16 miles away. I got to and from work 3 times on a tank...

X2! And yes, I tune an E85 setup just about every other week.

FWIW I've run the E85 (not this motor) at ~1.10 lambda at cruise with good results. On this motor anything less than 4000 rpm is still on the converter quite a bit so I can run it a little leaner down there. Obviously doesn't help the mileage with this gear/converter though. I was getting 13-14mpg with a t56 and the same gear.

I used to get 21hwy and about 14 town with my 87 buick 6.0L, 76mm, 4l80 and 3.08 gear on E85. On gas it did 18/26 or so if i was very careful with it
Running in standard AFR it was 15.5 at idle, 15.1 light accel and 16.5-16.7 under regular cruise. Under high loads N/A up to 4psi around 12.2:1, at 8psi it was around 11.8, 12psi 11.4

You can run this stuff pretty lean with no problems, that car also ran 26" tire and a 3200 stall
