Airfoil? I have a 96 lt1 z28! Ive been seeing these threads bout rhe airfoils! So there really that bad and not worth the money! It wAs in car win i bought it and ever since i have had car nuthing but oil leaks is that a big causes in oil leaks! Just seein what you guys think bout it! If so ill take it out!

The only reason i say that is bc, it makes the crank case build up pressure and it blows out the seals bc the engine isnt breathing and its goin somwere just curous!

It does not make the crankcase build pressure. An airfoil does nothing but supposedly "streamline" the air coming into the throttle body. If you have crankcase pressure issues, look for a bad PCV valve or plugged valve cover elbow.

Think of this. If you took a leaf blower and blew it into a throttle body with an air foil it would probably help direct air in the bores and not have an area open between them that can cause turbulence.
BUT and that's a big BUT... Remember that an engine is DRAWING air in not flowing the other way so NO , an airfoil is just a gimmick but it sure looks better.

A throttle body is a control Valve. DESIGNED TO ALLOW ENOUGH AIR FLOW AT FULL THROTTLE TO NOT BE A RESTRICTION when fully open. It is designed to give you the driver control over engine speed. 50% throttle is half power etc. Now you go and slap a monoblade on a stock motor and voila at 20% throttle you are flowing enough air to feed the motor at peak torque. Now you control valve is more like an on/off switch. That is why morons claim to have more response with a bigger tb.
Air foil is useless. Air is never forced into the cavity between the blades and if anything many restrict the iac valve too much making tuning a headache.

i was going to say the same thing in a lot less aggressive terms.
be nice, we were all new once.
about the air foil. im not sure how much or how little it does but hey it makes some sense to me if you ever look at the throttle body. imo it cant hurt
with that being said, i have one on my car.
oh and about a stock car having a bigger TB and claiming it helps. imho the more volume of air you can suck in and the more exhaust you can flow out (aka the better you can make your car breath) no matter what the hp level will always see gains.
my plans for my bolt on only car is a 58mm TB with a big gulp air induction setup.
be nice, we were all new once.

I understand your point, however, some questions are so "off the wall", that you either wonder if the OP is just foolin' with us, or if he/she is truly serious, what are they doing with a car?? The quite obviously don't understand how they operate....
