Guys, I heard good things about them so I had them build my 4L70E. It's in a pickup and doing good, no issues, yet..... But then I brought them up here in the trans thread and about had my *** handed to me.... So whaddya guys have to say? I'm scared that I have a possible grenade transmission powering my street truck down the road.

They have a terrible reputation for building shitty transmissions and shady business practices. Claiming transmissions to be built only to be pulled apart and have stock internals. Things like that.

Wow.... I'm just putting this out there but if their reputation is so bad, why are they still in business? I feel like a total idiot right now because I was proud of the transmission I have and a few on HP Tuners forum said that the company does good work....

Art Carr and B&M took a long time to die, but once the internet was out there, the truth about the crap they built became evident when people began to tell of their problems with these transmissions. TCI was another that built very poor units. We have seen this with some torque converter companies also. Just by the numbers alone you will get some good ones. Names do not die easy, once established.

I'm really too ashamed to say anything right now considering what just happened 30 minutes ago, so I'm just going to jump to this question and ask, "Where can I get a 4l70E that will hold my 850 crank horsepower?" Monster?

Performabuilt or FLT. Ive done a ton of research on Monster and I have yet to find one good review. I did like theyre 3 year warranty and theyre about 30 minutes from me.

Thanks, and yeah, decided to go do a race a whacked out Duramax (We won) and the truck pulled from 0-15 and then there was a boom and the rpm's skyrocketed. I attached a log so you guys can see it. At the RPM where my dad backed out of it, I was scanning, the truck should have been running approximately 39 MPH, not 16. He backed out of it and it caught second and pulled through all the gears still. Then we tried it again and same thing, put it in reverse to back into our driveway and it ****.

What about a Stage 3 Performabuilt 4L70 with a Yank 2600-3000? Keep in mind, truck is half play, half work, with a specialty blower cam.
